THE LOCKED DOOR.

Book number 13 in 2026.

The last two books I read before this one were histories. So, back to thrillers—and whom to fall back on? None other than Freida. My favourite for a while. This book didn’t disappoint me either. It kept me engaged all through—late nights, in the park, on the bus—compelling me to carry my Kindle everywhere.

A 300-pager, I finished it in a week or so. Better than TV thrillers—at least for me. A serial killer, dismembered bodies, severed hands—they called him the Handyman.

This is THE LOCKED DOOR by Freida McFadden. I have lost count of the books I have read by this author, and I am not even complaining!

This one kept me on tenterhooks all the time. I kept guessing the climax—no, it was not meant to be. Freida is smarter! I was pleasantly surprised—and what else do you read thrillers for?!

The basements—where it all started, with muffled sounds and murmurs. Blue eyes and young ones—the game was being played: “Hunter and the Prey.” Someone played the game on a hiking trail—or did she (or he?)? No spoilers from me!

They all had it in their genes. I mean, a whole bunch of them. The flock was scarier than the usual—a group looking for some fun in a very unusual way. The kind you nightmare about. The kind that wakes you up in psychological wards. The kind that makes you tremble. Even the thumps at your back door keep you awake!

The nights of “tosses and turns” become endless. You growl, you retch, and you know what? You start to hate the smell of lavender. The stench stays—in your car, in your bedrooms, and in your head.

A surgeon—no, a couple of them. One saves lives, and the other suffers, trying to find answers from her troubled past. A name she wanted to evade and tried to erase forever!

Nope—that’s not how it turns out to be. It haunts you. Even your genes, your boyfriend, your receptionist, your partner, and your father.

The author gives you hints—naah, you know nothing. You are reading the last page and still don’t know. You know nothing!

Freida is brilliant, a genius. You don’t need to shed a few bills to watch a thriller—you get the adrenaline free on Kindle Unlimited.

Here, the basements speak. They speak of despicable truths. Innocent eyes ponder: what are their faults? Alas! They don’t live to tell their stories.

Tires get slashed, hands get severed, blood gets deposited in your vegetable crates. You are being framed, but by whom? What’s their motive? Revenge?

A girl who searches for love, a family, a reputation, and, more importantly, a night of sleep—will she ever get it?

Go on and grab this one, and I am sure you will thank me later.

Your weekend read—without a doubt. Freida shines, as always.

A surgeon who is on a journey—a scarier one—to find answers. Or is she the answer?

Nora Davis will not stop until she discovers everything. Some doors are locked for a reason. They do open to answers.

The secret of 26 years unfolds. Hold onto your seat and enjoy the ride—it swivels!

This one is WILD.
