Vande Mataram

On a train to office on the best day of the week that’s Friday 😆 and my pods jacked to my ears and the podcasts are relentlessly feeding info of around the world – I suppose that’s why the ‘word of the year’ from Oxford dictionary for 2024 I.e. ‘brain rot’ has been coined !!

So , coming to podcasts and couple of those till I finish my 45 minutes of a train journey .

The one which piqued my curiosity , is about politics of the regional power if not the potential world power where the august guests are discussing of freebies and culture of goodies , the one which has been a norm to electoral appeasement . Yes , populist politics has its say all over the world but at the same time this has to be assiduously measured for the harm it can cause to strategic designs to tackle the games that nations play .

And as they say ‘do what is right not what is easy’ .

The revelation on that not-so-packed train and on a no-dry Friday was enlightening and I suppose , it should at least create a buzz among all of us that industrious and diligent proposition in building a nation goes a long way.

Freebies , in the long run , can imbibe a culture of lackadaisicalness for the future generations and most importantly for the youth of this country .

In a world of burgeoning uncertainties and multipolar hegemonies , able competitiveness holds the key to greater strength and remember if anything can bring peace , that is strength .

Hope our great nation and the land of Mahabharata , continues to follow the principles what Lord Krishna illuminated Arjuna on kurukshetra , I.e. do not deviate from your kartabya .

Democracies are vibrant and so is ours . It can be the harbinger of the inclusive and effective development while not compromising our national identity. Fortunately , and with all divergent ideas ,our nation has withered and trudged through many high tides in its lifetime and continues to do so . This eventually should encourage us to not to be beguiled by goodie-politics .
